The VersaLink C500 color laser printer and C505 multifunction (MFP) version from Xerox both have OEM-stated print speeds of up to 45 letter-size pages per minute (ppm) for both color and black-and-white printing. Duty cycles for both models are OEM-stated at 120,000 letter-size pages per month.

The supplies set is made up of four toner cartridges, a waste toner cartridge and four separate drum units. Replacement toner cartridges are available in three yield versions – standard (5,000 pages for black and 2,400 pages for color), high capacity (12,100 pages for black, 5,200 pages for color) and extra high capacity (9,000 pages for color only). The drum unit yields up to 40,000 pages and the waste toner cartridge holds up to 30,000 pages worth of waste materials. All yields are based on letter-size pages.

All models in this family ship with standard toner cartridges (5,000 pages for black and 2,400 pages for color). All cartridges require a chip for correct printer operation.
